Residential life on the 500-acre campus of North Central Texas Academy is always busy. Students live in boarding residences based on age and gender. The residences are set up much like a large family home. Each student has one roommate, and there are eight students and a houseparent couple in each residence.
Athletic facilities and recreational activities, such as playgrounds, are within walking distance. Students eat most meals in the campus Dining Center. Weekends are filled with athletic and extracurricular field trips, as well as free time including movies, museums, shopping trips, and eating out. Other on-campus activities are available different nights of the week. These include a small movie theater and video/arcade games located in the Youth Center.
